When I started this blog, I planned to have three main categories: pets, cooking, and… something else. I’ve been wondering what that “something else” should be.
And now I’ve decided!
I’m adding a new category called Casual Journal, where I’ll share illustrations, doodles, random thoughts, favorite purchases, and anything else I’d like to share with you all.
For this first post, I’d like to start with an activity update—specifically about my calendar project!
About two weeks ago, I finished creating the October calendar and was able to release it successfully.
Each calendar features drawings of my pets: three cats and one ferret.
Here’s what the initial sketch looked like:

I drew my pets enjoying lots of delicious food in a beautiful forest, then gathering around a campfire to relax together.
The calendar went on sale on the 20th of this month, available through BOOTH and note.
Here’s a close-up of part of the finished calendar:

This is Lily, my oldest cat—a black and white tuxedo kitty.
I drew her getting cozy by the campfire, looking warm and a little sleepy.
On the lower half of the calendar, I decorated the space around the dates with plenty of autumn leaves, acorns, and food.
Here’s what that looks like:

This part is from the lower right corner of the calendar, where I added roasted sweet potatoes.
They’re so delicious, aren’t they?
Whenever I go to the supermarket and see freshly roasted sweet potatoes being sold near the entrance or in the produce section, I can’t help but crave them. The smell is irresistible and always tempts me, haha.
Since I love roasted sweet potatoes so much, I just had to include them in the illustration.
And here’s the full view of the calendar:

I’m selling the set for $1, and it comes with two versions: one starting on Monday and one starting on Sunday.

To everyone who always looks forward to my calendars—thank you so much!
For October, I drew it with a warm, autumn vibe that I hope feels comforting and soothing. If you find it cute, I’d be so happy if you decided to bring one home.
I also share updates about this calendar and other projects on X (formerly Twitter), so feel free to check it out if you’re interested!
